Nestled amidst breathtaking hills, our cozy motel rooms and spacious campground are located on the ATV-Snowmobile Trailhead, just a mile from the shores of Hill Lake near Quadna Mountain in North Central Minnesota's town of Hill City.

Trails Inn is about 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids, MN, off Highway US-169. We are approximately 175 miles north, just a 3-hour drive from the Twin Cities Metro Area, and only about 90 miles, a 1.5-hour drive northwest of Duluth, MN, via Highways US-2 and MN-200 W.

Hill City is one of the many small and breathtaking cities near McGrath, Rabey, McGregor, Palisade, and Tamarack in Aitkin County, MN. It's also close to the Minnesota cities of Remer, Emily, Warba, Cohasset, and the township of Swatara. We are honored to host guests from all over Minnesota, including Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Canada and more!

Enjoy Our Amenities And Outdoor Activities

Our guests will enjoy a newly remodeled and fully equipped motel and RV campsite on 22 acres of prime land surrounded by a magnificent forest of hardwood trees. Our facility is open year-round and has 51 RV sites, 30 and 50-amp hook-ups for septic, electrical, and water service, a 20-room motel with an owner's suite, and a business office/gift shop open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide guests with a comfortable and relaxing home away from home with all the amenities you would expect and deserve at a quality motel.

Guests will appreciate the close and convenient access to the Quadna Hills 9-Hole Championship Golf Course, Hill Lake, biking, MTB, and hiking trails, and miles of beautifully groomed ATV / OHM-friendly, UTV, and snowmobile trails.

We Offer Something For Everyone

You may enjoy shopping at the local flea market, attending Hill City's Annual 4th of July Parade, partaking in all of the local holiday festivities, or spending your time off-road on a 4-wheeler, riding through the gentle and sweeping curves of the Soo Line North and Rabey Line Trails.

Or perhaps you'll enjoy fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, and Small Mouth Bass, going for hikes, taking a quiet bike ride through the woods, or hunting grouse and deer.
